Where do Doctors go to “get clarity”?

Santa Ana Pueblo Indians at Hyatt Tamaya

Here is a snapshot our family took of Native American dancers from Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico, at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya just north of Albuquerque. We were enjoying lunch and happened to be there at the time of day when they perform for guests of the resort.

This summer I’ll spend about 3 weeks in New Mexico — part visit, part work, AND always a time for me to gain clarity around many personal and professional issues. New Mexico has that effect on me: like cleaning out the cobwebs that might be clouding my vision. Maybe it’s the high altitude (higher than Denver).

Is there a place YOU can go that has that effect — a place that helps you get “grounded” and clear? A place where you can instantly press the “refresh” button on your brain? Maybe it’s not a physical place. Perhaps it’s an activity, like biking, or dancing or boating. Whatever it is: Be sure to schedule it into your life!

Join me in New Mexico this coming October for the one-of-a-kind weekend retreat/workshop for physicians who want to get ‘unstuck’ and create a strategic blueprint for career success. “Journey to Reveal the Leader Within” is October 19-22.
